Losing someone dear to you can change the way you see the world. Making it less colorful and vibrant. If there was a way, what would you be willing to do in order to get them back? 

In the game of “Tale of Ruin” you play as a young boy losing a person dear to him. The grief has drawn out all the colors from the world, leaving the boy to wander on a colorless island. However, one day he comes across a mystical book telling him how collecting each relic from the temple ruins of the goddesses of the forest, the ocean and the sun can grant him a wish. He sets out on an adventure in order to see his lost loved one again. On his journey the boy conquers the obstacles and dangers in the old ruins while also helping the villagers of the island. 

• Fight slime enemies and bosses.

• Solve puzzles to progress in the temples.

• An environment in change:

- Watch as your slightly desaturated world turn more and more colorful as you clear obstacles and help your friends!

- As you clear each temple the island and its environment will change.

Glide with the help of your scythe!

Gather the relics after conquering the last obstacles.

A small tranquil island village.

A nature full of diverse flowers and plants.

Surrounded by the vast ocean.

As the temples can be dangerous you have to defend yourself to move forward torwards your goal.

We are a small studio consisting of students studying game development in Stockholm, Sweden.  We aim to send in the final edition of our game to the Swedish game award competion for non-professional game developers and students later this summer.
